Do you maintain websites your team didn't build?
Yes — most of our retainer clients came to us with a site someone else built. We start with a free audit covering security, backups, hosting setup, and the codebase, then tell you exactly what shape it's in before you commit. We maintain Astro, Next.js, Laravel, and standard WordPress installs (just not page-builder bloat like Elementor or WPBakery).
How is maintenance priced if there are no fixed tiers?
It's a flat monthly retainer scoped to your site's size, traffic, and how many content-update hours you actually use. After the audit we quote one number — no surprise add-ons, no annual lock-in, cancel anytime. A small brochure site costs far less to maintain than a busy store with daily product changes, so we price to reality instead of forcing you into a tier.
What's your response time when my site goes down?
Uptime monitors ping your site every 5 minutes from multiple regions, so we usually know it's down before you do. For a full outage we're on it within the hour during BD office hours (Sat–Thu, 10am–7pm) and we keep emergency cover for critical sites outside those hours. Routine requests — a copy tweak, a new product — are handled same-day or next-day depending on scope.
How do backups work, and how fast can you restore one?
We take a full database and file backup every 24 hours and keep 30 days of history, stored off the main server so a hacked or crashed host doesn't take your backups with it. If something breaks, we can roll your site back to any day in that window — typically restored within minutes, not the hours a host's generic backup takes. You're never one bad plugin update away from losing everything.
What happens if my site gets hacked or infected with malware?
Cleanup is included for sites on an active retainer — we isolate the infection, remove the malicious code, patch the hole that let it in, and restore from a clean backup if needed. We also harden the site afterwards so the same exploit can't be reused. The whole point of weekly patching is to make this rare, but if it happens you're not paying an emergency rescue fee on top.
Will you handle content updates, or only the technical stuff?
Both. Your retainer includes a block of update hours each month for the everyday changes — swapping an image, editing copy, adding a product or a blog post, updating prices — so you don't need to learn the CMS or hire separately for small tweaks. Just WhatsApp us what you need. Larger work like a new page section or a redesign is quoted separately, but the small stuff is already covered.
