A founder-led studio building custom web systems.
Sixteen years, 3,000+ shipped projects, and one person accountable for every line of code and every client call. Virtual Online designs and builds custom web platforms, e-commerce systems, and B2B tools for companies across the US and 20+ countries — never a template, never a rotating account team.
Our story
Virtual Online started in 2009 as a small web and digital-marketing studio, building sites and running early campaigns for local businesses. Sixteen years and more than 3,000+ projects later, the focus has narrowed rather than widened: custom-coded web platforms, e-commerce systems, and B2B software — the kind of business-critical work a page-builder template or an off-the-shelf plugin stack can't actually handle. A small in-house team handles day-to-day build work; Nafis, the founder, handles scoping, architecture, and every client conversation personally — that split is what makes 3,000+ projects and one accountable point of contact possible at the same time.
Virtual Online is headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh, working US business hours for US clients — every project starts and ends with video calls, not a support-ticket queue. You get the founder on the kickoff call, the founder on the weekly check-in, and the founder on the walkthrough the day your site goes live. That doesn't change as a project gets bigger, and it isn't a detail we bury in the fine print.
The client list runs well past any one country. There's a private-chef booking platform built for a client in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (privatechef.tc); an automated car-parking-systems manufacturer in the UAE (layalicarparking.com) running an English-language site for international buyers; and a manufacturing exporter in Cyprus whose site now pulls product inquiries from across the EU. None of these were agency-brokered or subcontracted — each one started as a direct conversation, went through the same scoping and fixed-price process a US client goes through today, and shipped on a deadline that held. See more of it on the work page.
Most projects today fall into two buckets: custom web application development — marketplaces, membership platforms, business-critical dashboards — and manufacturing and B2B web systems for companies that sell to other companies, not to a checkout cart. Both need the same thing: software that's fast, secure, and still running five years from now. If what you've got right now is neither fast nor secure, the Laravel Rescue Audit is built to find out why.
No compromises, four rules
The non-negotiables that shape every project — whether it's a five-page launch site or a multi-role marketplace platform.
Ownership, always
100% code and content ownership — no lock-in, ever. The codebase, admin credentials, and hosting keys are yours the day final payment clears — no monthly tax just to keep your own site running.
Fixed price, no surprises
Every project quotes one number before work starts, tied to named milestones — deposit, design approval, launch. You know the total on day one, not after the invoices start arriving.
Security-first by default
Authentication, input handling, and payment flows get reviewed before launch, not after an incident. The Custom Platform tier ships with a full security audit included, not an upsell.
No templates, no page builders
Every site is hand-coded — Laravel, Next.js, or Astro depending on the job. No WordPress, no Elementor, no theme you're renting instead of owning.
Meet the founder
Nafis
Founder & Lead Developer
Nafis founded Virtual Online in 2009 and still leads every project personally — the same person who takes the first scoping call takes the deployment call. Sixteen years of shipping Laravel, Next.js, and Astro builds means less time spent explaining the stack and more time spent solving the actual problem: a marketplace that needs vendor payouts, a manufacturer that needs an RFQ system, a store that's losing carts at checkout. The studio's build list runs from single-location small businesses to multi-vendor marketplaces processing real payouts, so the scoping conversation starts from what's already been built before, not a guess.
There's no account manager relaying messages to a developer you've never met. Email or book a call and you're talking to the person who writes the code — and who's still around, on the same care plan, months after launch, not handed off to a support queue the week after go-live. Full numbers and the exact process are on the pricing page and the process page.
