How Much Does a Custom Website Cost?

Between $1,500 and $15,000+, and the number depends on four things: how much of the design is custom versus reused, whether you need a self-editable CMS, how complex checkout gets if you're selling online, and how much custom logic the build actually needs. We publish the real numbers below — packages, care plans, add-ons, and payment terms — so you can see where your project lands before you ever get on a call.

Fixed price, always
Quoted before work starts, never billed by the hour
50% deposit, not 100%
You never pay in full before seeing your site
You own everything
100% code and content, no lock-in, ever

Already Live

Inherited a broken or hacked Laravel site? We find out why.

The Rescue Audit is a fixed-price, fast-turnaround diagnostic for Laravel sites that are slow, unstable, or compromised. We audit your codebase, server configuration, and dependencies, then hand you a prioritized report of what's wrong and a fixed-price quote to fix it — no open-ended hourly billing.

  • Full codebase + dependency audit
  • Security vulnerability scan (auth, IDOR, injection, exposed secrets)
  • Server + environment configuration review
  • Performance and query bottleneck review
  • Prioritized written report — critical to low-priority
  • Fixed-price remediation quote for every finding

Care Plans

Every quote includes a care plan by default

Not required to launch — you can decline it and take the finished site as-is. Most clients keep one, because a site nobody watches is a site that quietly breaks.

Add-Ons

Extras you can add to any package

Priced the same way as everything else on this page — a real number, not “get in touch.” Ad-hoc work is the one hourly line item anywhere; every project itself stays fixed-price.

Logo & Brand Identity $150 starting at, one-time
Professional Copywriting $50 /page
Additional Language $200 one-time
Ongoing SEO Campaign $400 /mo
Site Speed Audit $250 one-time
Hosting Setup / Migration $150 one-time
Additional Payment Gateway $200 one-time
Ad-Hoc Post-Launch Work $40 /hr
How “From” Works

A “from” price is a starting point, not a bait-and-switch

Every package above lists a "from" price because the exact number depends on your scope — how many pages, what content you're bringing, which integrations you need. Fill out the quote form and we scope your project against the same checklist that priced every package on this page, then send back a confirmed, fixed number in writing within 2 business days.

That number is final once you approve the written scope. If you add something later — an extra integration, a page count increase, a new feature — we write it up as a signed change order with its own price before we start on it, never as a surprise line on the final invoice.

Payment Terms

How payment actually works

50% deposit, then named milestones

Half to start, and the rest split across design approval, development complete, and pre-launch sign-off — never a lump sum for work you haven't seen.

USD invoices, standard rails

Every invoice is billed in US dollars. Pay by card, ACH, or bank transfer — whichever is easiest on your end.

You never pay 100% upfront

The final milestone is due at pre-launch sign-off, once your site is live on a staging URL you can click through yourself.

Full ownership on final payment

Code and content ownership transfers to you the moment the last invoice clears — the complete codebase, no held-back pieces.

How We Compare

About half of a typical US agency — on purpose

Our delivery model is leaner — a smaller team, remote-first operations, no downtown-office overhead — not because the work is lesser. Every package on this page ships the same fixed-price discipline, written scope, and ownership terms you'd expect from an agency billing twice as much.

Scope Our price Typical US agency
Launch
Portfolio / business site
$1,500 $3,000 – $6,000
Business Pro
Business site + CMS
$2,950 $5,000 – $10,000
Commerce
Custom e-commerce build
$6,500 $10,000 – $25,000
Custom Platform
Custom web app / platform
from $15,000 $30,000 – $100,000+

Agency ranges are directional industry benchmarks for comparable custom-build scope, not quotes from a specific competitor.

FAQ

Pricing — your questions

Straight answers on what's included, what changes the number, and how payment works.

Why fixed price instead of hourly?
Hourly billing puts the risk on you — a slow week on our end becomes a bigger invoice on yours. We scope the work first, agree on a fixed number in writing, and that number doesn't move unless you add scope. The one exception is post-launch ad-hoc work: a $40/hr line for small one-off requests after your site ships. The project itself is always quoted and billed as a fixed price.
What actually changes the price?
Four things: how much of the design is custom versus reused, whether your team needs a self-editable CMS so you can update content without calling a developer, how complex checkout and inventory get if you're selling online, and how much custom business logic — user roles, integrations, dashboards, API connections — the project needs. A Launch site with a contact form ($1,500, up to 30 pages) and a multi-role marketplace with payment integrations (Custom Platform, from $15,000) sit at opposite ends of that same list.
If Business Pro has no page caps, can I keep adding pages after the site launches?
Not automatically, and here's the honest distinction: your fixed quote locks in an agreed sitemap, and "no page caps" means we don't nickel-and-dime you page-by-page within that scoped sitemap — plan a genuinely deep site and Business Pro builds all of it for the one price. Pages requested after that quote is approved are new scope, not part of the original build, so they go through a quick change order or get handled with your care plan's included edit time — the same fixed-price rule that applies to everything else on this page.
Do I have to buy a care plan?
No. A care plan isn't required to launch, and we'll hand off your finished site without one if that's what you want. Every fixed quote defaults to including one because sites that get monitored, backed up, and checked monthly stay fast and secure — most clients keep it for that reason, not because we require it.
Do I own the code and content once the site is live?
Yes, 100%, from the moment you make the final payment. There's no licensing fee, no monthly "access" charge to keep your own site running, and no proprietary page builder locking you into our hosting. You get the full codebase and can take it to any developer or host you choose, anytime.
How does payment work, and is it safe to pay a deposit upfront?
You pay 50% to start and the rest across named milestones — design approval, development complete, and pre-launch sign-off — so you're paying for work you've already seen, not work still in progress. Every invoice is in USD, and you can pay by card, ACH, or bank transfer. You never pay the full amount before your site is live on a staging URL you can click through yourself.
What if my project doesn't fit any of the four packages?
It usually does — Launch, Business Pro, Commerce, and Custom Platform cover everything from a lean brochure site to a multi-vendor marketplace. If your scope genuinely sits outside all four, tell us on the quote form and we'll scope it as a custom project with the same fixed-price and milestone terms as everything else here — never an open-ended hourly estimate.
