Custom Ecommerce Website Development, Built to Sell

A custom Laravel storefront — not a rented theme on someone else's platform. Real-time inventory, Stripe or PayPal checkout, and order dashboards built around how you actually sell. Fixed price, no monthly platform cut, and the code is yours the day it ships.

Own vs. rent

The 3-year math on a template stack

A page-builder store looks like the lower-cost path on day one. Run the numbers past year one and the math flips — plan fees, required apps, and a processing cut you don't fully control add up, and you still don't own what you built.

Over 3 years Template stack Commerce build
Build / setup cost Low or $0 upfront — the real cost shows up later $6,500 one-time, fixed and quoted upfront
Plan + required apps $250–$600/mo once you add reviews, upsells, SEO, and email apps most stores need $0 — those features are built in, not rented separately
Payment processing Standard card rates, plus an extra cut if you skip the platform's own gateway Standard Stripe/PayPal rates only — no platform markup on top
Changing how checkout works Capped by the platform's rules — some changes aren't possible below its Enterprise tier Whatever the business needs — it's your code
3-year running cost $9,000–$21,600 in fees alone, before any dev work $6,500 once, or about $19,100 fully loaded with a Growth care plan every month
What you own at the end A product export. The store itself stays on their platform. 100% of the code and content — move it to any host, any time

Outgrowing a single storefront into a marketplace, wholesale portal, or multi-brand operation? That's a Custom Platform build, not a bigger Commerce package — the business logic underneath is different, not just the page count.

What's included

Everything a real online store needs

Six core capabilities every Commerce build ships with. Nothing here is an upsell you discover later.

Catalog and inventory that's actually accurate

Real-time stock per SKU and per variant, tied to what's really on the shelf — not a spreadsheet someone updates on Fridays.

Stripe or PayPal checkout

Hosted card fields, 3-D Secure ready, one-page or multi-step — built around how your customers actually buy, not a generic template flow.

Order and customer dashboards

An admin view for every order, product, and customer, plus a self-service account and order-history page for shoppers.

Coupons, shipping, and tax handled right

Percentage or fixed-value codes, flat or rate-based shipping rules, and tax calculated per jurisdiction — configured at launch, not patched in later.

Email automation that fires on its own

Order confirmations, shipping updates, and abandoned-cart nudges go out automatically from day one — no manual follow-up required.

Laravel code, not a rented theme

Every screen is backend code we wrote and you own. Want checkout to work differently next year? We change the code — no app-store workaround.

Performance

Speed is a sales feature, not a vanity metric

A storefront that takes four seconds to paint its hero image has already lost part of your mobile traffic before anyone sees a product. Every Commerce build we ship targets a Largest Contentful Paint around 0.7 seconds on a real mid-tier connection — no bloated theme JavaScript, no half-dozen render-blocking app scripts fighting each other for the main thread.

Bango Power, one of our B2B storefronts, scores 98 on Google Lighthouse's performance audit with a full product catalog and category filtering running — pull that number yourself, it isn't a marketing claim. Checkout pages that load fast convert more of the traffic you already paid to acquire. Slow ones just burn ad spend on carts that never finish.

Security

Checkout is where trust dies

Most cart abandonment isn't really about price — it's the half-second a shopper hesitates because the payment page looks off. Every Commerce build routes card entry through Stripe or PayPal's hosted fields, so raw card numbers never touch our servers or yours. That keeps your PCI compliance scope at the simplest tier (SAQ A) instead of the audit-heavy category stores get stuck with when they roll their own payment form.

Forced HTTPS, sanitized inputs on every form, rate-limited admin logins, and no plaintext card data stored anywhere — that's the baseline on every store we ship, not an upsell. Handling customer data at real scale — a marketplace with vendor payouts, a B2B portal with account-level pricing — the Custom Platform tier adds a full security audit before launch. See the Laravel Security Audit page for what that covers.

Every project, no exceptions

FAQ

E-commerce — your questions

Migration, PCI, gateways, and when a store actually needs to be a platform instead.

Can you migrate my existing store without losing my search rankings?
Yes. We migrate your product catalog, customer records, and order history, then map every existing URL to its new equivalent and set up permanent redirects before the old store goes offline — so Google carries your rankings and backlinks over instead of starting from zero. That mapping happens before we touch your live site, so nothing 404s on launch day.
Do I need to worry about PCI compliance if you build my checkout?
Less than you'd think. Card entry runs through Stripe or PayPal's hosted payment fields, so card numbers never touch our servers or yours — that keeps you in the simplest PCI compliance tier (SAQ A), which is a short self-assessment questionnaire, not a full audit. Need a specific processor beyond Stripe or PayPal? We scope that as an add-on gateway integration during discovery.
Why build on Laravel instead of Shopify or WooCommerce?
Shopify is a fine choice for some businesses — if you need to launch this week with no custom logic, use it. We build custom Laravel storefronts for businesses that hit the platform's ceiling: complex pricing rules, customer-account logic, integrations with an existing inventory system, or a checkout flow the platform won't let you change. We don't build on WordPress or WooCommerce — if that's genuinely the right tool for your business, we'll tell you so on the quote call instead of selling you a build you don't need.
What if my store outgrows the Commerce package?
Commerce is scoped for a single storefront — one catalog, one checkout, one brand. If you're really building a multi-vendor marketplace, a wholesale portal with account-specific pricing, or a platform with vendor payouts and role-based access, that's Custom Platform territory (from $15,000), because the business logic underneath is different, not just bigger. We'll tell you honestly which one you need before you sign anything — see what a Custom Platform build covers on the custom web application development page.
Which payment gateways can you integrate?
Stripe and PayPal are standard on every Commerce build — both support major US cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay out of the box. We can add Authorize.net, Square, or another processor if your business already has a merchant relationship there; that's scoped as an add-on during discovery, and the full add-on menu is priced on the pricing page.
How long does a Commerce build take, and what do I need to provide?
Three to six weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on catalog size and how many custom rules you need. You provide product data (or we help you structure it), brand assets, and a Stripe or PayPal account; we handle design, development, testing, and the first round of content loading. You approve the build at named milestones along the way, not just at the end.
